Men and boys are victims of sexual abuse and violence committed by both male and female perpetrators. One in six boys will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday. Sexual abuse and violence is a human rights issue not a gender issue. Until we accept this, male victims of sexual abuse and violence will continue to be treated in a manner that is both unfair and unjust.
